Artisan Flute Jewelry and More will be at the 2008 NFA Convention in Kansas City, MO. Come to booth 214 to see all of my new and favorite designs. This year I’ve extended my jewelry line to include recycled ivory piano keys, bow hair and sterling silver cast bassoon reeds. Also, I will be showcasing my extended technique workbook Flutastics Book Two: Singing and Playing, and my composition Syukhtun on Friday morning at 9:15 in Benton. No flute was harmed to make this jewelry!
I cast keys from Eva Kingma flutes www.kingmaflutes.com
in sterling silver. Almost all the other parts: chain, bails, toggles
and clasps are sterling silver. I accent some pieces with 14K gold and
semi-precious stones or pearls to create my one-of-a-kind flute
jewelry. The ebony wood rings are from Chris Abell flute
blanks www.abellflute.com.
A bold bracelet is made from leather scraps from flute cases made by Northwind
Cases www.northwindcases.com. Cynthia Kelley's Flutacious!
www.flutacious.com debuted Ellen
Burr's Artisan Flute Jewelry at the 2006
NFA Convention in Pittsburgh. In addition to carrying selected
pieces of Artisan Flute Jewelry, Flute World www.fluteworld.com
commissioned an exclusive design that incorporates fresh water pearls,
and open hole key and silver linked chain. Selected designs are also available
through Royalton Music, in No. Royalton, Ohio. Remember all designs are custom made,
so I can create just about anything!! (Also check out my other jewelry
designs. The links are directly below) Contact me if you'd like a longer
chain, a rubber cord rather than snake chain, to let me know your ring
or wrist size, if you want to add stones I don’t list or have the
design created completely in gold... Check back regularly for new designs.
